Well Boscombe, what a week it’s been! The Royal Arcade has been alive with the spirit of spring thanks to the Ostara Witch Market, filling the air with folk tunes and good vibes. It’s wonderful to see our community buzzing with creativity. Big news for our families too! Boscombe is one of the first areas to benefit from BCP Council's new 'Best Start in Life' scheme, offering fantastic early years support. And speaking of good news, our Boscombe West neighbours are set to receive a massive £20 million investment, a real boost thanks to our local MP and some dedicated charities. For those feeling active, a friendly indoor football session is kicking off every Monday evening at Avonbourne School – a great way to get together and have a kickabout. And if you fancy a treat, the Square Club is hosting their popular lunch event this Monday. The entertainment scene is absolutely popping! Pitt Street Skatepark is getting a dose of indie rock royalty with Carl Barat on DJ duty, while Chaplins is hosting a fantastic double header with Webber! and Plastic Jeezus. Plus, RUBYZ Cabaret is serving up a hilarious fashion parody with 'The Devil Wears Primark'. For music lovers, The Smyths are back to rock the EngineRooms, and there's a buzz about a gig at the O2 Academy this Friday. We’ve also heard about a fantastic sponsored dog walk coming up, organised by Hope Housing and Helpful Hounds – perfect for our four-legged friends. And for a bit of local flavour, why not pop down for some bingo with the T'Barry lads? On the regeneration front, there’s a lot of positive chatter about Pokesdown station, with significant government funding secured to give it a much-needed spruce-up. It’s great to see investment flowing into our local areas. And if you’re a fan of a bargain, our local hospice charity is opening a new house clearance shop, which is always a welcome addition. It seems Boscombe is truly blossoming this week, with something for everyone!
